For a Truly Grand Day Out
Whether you’re part of a local society with a shared hobby or interest, or a community group looking for an outing or camp venue – you’re very welcome at Belvedere.
Active Retirement Groups
Perhaps your group is interested in history and would love to learn more about the House and estate. Or maybe you’d just enjoy taking in the natural beauty and serenity of Belvedere – from the romantic Walled Garden to the wandering woodlands. We have so much to offer you and are ideally situated for travel to and from different parts of the country. A fabulous choice for an all-round enjoyable day out.
Special Interest Groups
We welcome many special interest groups to Belvedere, including Georgian societies, garden groups, historical societies and walking groups. With so much history, flora and fauna and our stunning setting on the shores of Lough Ennell, people with a shared passion find everything they’re looking for, and more.
Historians and fans of fine architecture are treated to our splendid Georgian design, including exquisite rococo ceiling design – and enjoy learning about the follies on the estate – including the Jealous Wall which is the largest folly in Ireland. If your group has an interest in a particular period or aspect of history, please let us know and we will do our best to meet your needs.
10 km of beautiful trails offer walking groups so much to explore and reflect upon, while the beautiful Victorian Walled Garden is a delight for the senses and a highlight for all avid gardeners. If you’d like to learn more about the garden, we can arrange for a member of our knowledgeable team to guide you around and tell you about the garden’s rare and interesting species as you go.
Summer and Seasonal Camps
Choose Belvedere for a summer or seasonal camp in the most stunning setting – with so much to see, do and enjoy. We cater for children’s camps both out on the grounds or indoors in a classroom setting. Great, competitive rates available so do get in touch for more info. Refreshments can be organised with the Lakeside Café.
