Foraging & Wreath-Making Workshop with Sarah from Slow Field Flowers
10am – 3pm
Join local flower grower and florist Sarah from Slow Field Flowers for a hands-on, nature-inspired morning of foraging and festive wreath-making at Belvedere Gardens. Sarah specialises in Irish-grown, seasonal blooms and sustainable floristry, bringing a mindful and creative approach to working with the natural world.
The workshop begins at 10:00 am with a guided foraging walk through the gardens, where Sarah will lead participants in discovering interesting foliage, textures, and natural materials perfect for wreath-making. Please dress for the outdoors—warm clothes, waterproofs, and suitable footwear are recommended, as we may be walking through tall grass or damp ground.
After a short break and a chance to enjoy the coffee shop (11:30–12:00), we’ll gather indoors for the wreath-making session. All materials and tools will be provided, including a beautiful selection of locally foraged and Irish-grown evergreens, dried fruit, and natural accents. Participants will also have the opportunity to include any special treasures collected during the walk, adding a personal touch to their own handcrafted Christmas wreath to take home. The workshop is expected to end at 3pm.
This workshop is a wonderful way to celebrate the season, connect with nature, and create something truly unique and sustainable for your home.
