Belvedere House, Gardens & Park is a Georgian House and Estate owned and operated by Westmeath County Council, located outside Mullingar town. Open daily all year round with seasonal closing hours. Tickets provides access to the café, estate, house and play areas. See FAQ’s below for more information.
With 160 acres including lakeshore walks, woodlands trails and a Victorian Walled Garden there is lots to see and do for all ages. Belvedere management reserve the right to close the estate and grounds to host large scale events or due to unforeseen events such as weather.

Note: Belvedere is an outdoor venue. Please dress appropriately and be prepared for the changeable Irish weather.
Wi-Fi internet access is available in the Courtyard area of the Visitor Centre.
Belvedere House Gardens & Park has ample FREE car parking facilities for visitors.
Coach drop off points and parking are available for all pre-booked groups.
There are bicycle parking facilities outside the entrance to the Visitor Centre. Note: Cycling is prohibited within the estate itself.
The Lakeshore Café is now open at Belvedere, from 9.30am – 4.30pm. We wish them every success. The café is accessible for all, tickets are required if accessing the Belvedere estate including play areas, available at reception. Seating directly outside the door may be used by café customers. All customers must check in at reception.
Children’s Play Areas
Belvedere has 4 Children’s Play Areas that includes a 30metre Zipline and Lakeside Swings in the beautiful, serene and safe surroundings of 160 acres of undulating parkland.
Belvedere House - Open daily from 9:30am – 5:00pm
Self-guided visit. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines and follow directional signage and the one-way system in place. Hand sanitising units at the entrance and exits.
Audio guides are available at no extra charge. These provide additional information as you move around the estate and house and correspond with 20 ‘stops’ marked on the map of the estate. They are available in English, French, German & Spanish.
Tickets can be purchased online and at reception. Purchasing tickets online, in advance speeds up the time at reception but is not mandatory. Online tickets are emailed to the customer and the ticket should be downloaded in advance of arrival.
With 10km of trails to enjoy and explore dogs are welcome to visit Belvedere estate. They need to be on a lead / under control while they visit and owner’s must clean up after their dog. Dogs (excluding service dogs) are not permitted within the café area, house, walled garden and play areas.
Picnic benches at the lakeshore and throughout the estate. No barbeques or fires permitted. Seating outside centre is for café guests.
Swimming is not permitted at the lakeshore at Belvedere.
Drone / Commercial Filming
Drone use and / or commercial camera or film work is not permitted on the estate without prior approval from Belvedere management.
