Westmeath County Council is happy to advise that Belvedere House, Gardens & Park is NOW OPEN to visitors from across Ireland and our season ticket holders.
Please book your visit in advance.
All visitors are required to fully comply with HSE Guidance on protecting themselves and others from Covid-19 and with signage as erected. Belvedere is open to enjoy the woodland walks, lakeshore and the stunning views including the Jealous wall and Gothic Arch. Takeaway coffee is served from a hatch outside the Visitor Centre. Belvedere House will reopen shortly.

The Chairman of the Belvedere Committee, Mayor Billy Collentine welcomed the move as a sign that the country is emerging from this difficult period and that the public can enjoy this great facility.

Plan Your Visit

Belvedere is delighted to be back open on a gradual basis. We look forward to welcoming you. We have safety measures in place and are working within government guidelines. Please adhere to public health advice, use hand sanitizer at the entrance and exits, follow the one-way system, signage and direction from staff and maintain social distance as you visit. We have the following in place:

  • Hand sanitizer at the entrance and exits
  • One way system through the courtyard – stay on the left
  • Signage to remind people to adhere to social distancing while visiting
  • Serviced bathrooms with limited access at any one time

Note: Last Admission 1 hour before stated closing time. All details are correct at time of publishing but can be subject to change. Please also note that Belvedere may close to the general public while staging large events. Please check website or telephone 044-9338960 in advance of travel. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Belvedere House remains closed.

Free Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi internet access is available in the Courtyard area of the Visitor Centre.

Car Parking
Belvedere House Gardens & Park has ample FREE car parking facilities for visitors.

Coach Parking
Coach drop off points and parking are available for all pre-booked groups.

Bicycle Parking
There are bicycle parking facilities outside the entrance to the Visitor Centre. Note: Cycling is prohibited within the estate itself.

Restaurant
Great food, great service & great location - this is the mantra of CaToCa Fine Foods & Giftware, the licensed Restaurant at Belvedere House Gardens & Park. CaToCa can cater for all special occasions and Corporate events.

Gift Shop
Belvedere Gift Shop is currently operated by CaToCa Fine Foods and Giftware and offers an exclusive range of clothing, gifts and memorabilia.

Children’s Play Areas
Belvedere has 4 Children’s Play Areas that includes a 30metre Zipline and Lakeside Swings in the beautiful, serene and safe surroundings of 160 acres of undulating parkland.

Dogs
With 10km of trails to enjoy and explore dogs are welcome to visit Belvedere estate. They need to be on a lead / under control while they visit and owner’s must clean up after their dog. Dogs (excluding service dogs) are not permitted within the café area, house, walled garden and play areas.
