“THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH”

Belvedere House Self Sufficiency Show will take place over the weekend of 14th and 15th April 2012 (Provisional Dates). Now in its fourth year the show is based on John Seymour’s famous book “The Complete Guide to Self-Sufficiency”.

The Belvedere Self-Sufficiency Show is on the weekend of 14th and 15th April 2012 at Belvedere House Gardens and Park, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. Check www.belvedere-house.ie for updates and seminar listing. For those interested in exhibiting contact info@belvedere-house.ie or call (044) 9349060.

Aswell as the active model farm, there will be a Self-Sufficiency Seminar arena, a Food/Cookery demonstration Arena and specially designed Children's area with the Naturally Wild Roadshow with Dale Treadwell. A new health arena "Food for Thought" is located in the audio visual area of the visitor centre. New this year is a Rare Plant Fair with a large selection of specialised Nurseries from all over Ireland.

The outdoor Arena will feature practical demonstrations including Bee-Keeping, Traditional Scything and Wood Turning. Local Food producers will have the best organic produce for sale and consumption on site from Boxty to hot roast Salmon rolls. The event is crammed full of activities for everyone from the curious to the active participant and this is the perfect place to discover your hidden talents.

" After the passing of The Celtic Tiger there is a "Growing" awareness of the benefits both to body and soul from a healthy active Self-Sufficient lifestyle. However the knowledge has been lost and what we are trying to do with a show like this is to restore the balance" says Bartle D'Arcy, Belvedere General Manager.
